Hi Guy's it's Maria and I wanted to tell you about a smoothing/de-frizzing Treatment I found.
As all of our Clients know we have been against doing keratins for years. As a Salon Owner who is Certified and used to doing them, also being an ingredient disecting junkie I knew all the keratin companies out there had lied about being "formaldehyde free" since years back OSHA took them off the market for unsafe and unregulated levels of it being exposed to everyone inside the building.
MY NUMBER ONE PRIORITY IS OUR HEALTH.
I also found that there are loopholes in the laws that allow companies to hide ingredients and after this finding I lost my trust.
Now formaldehyde is found everywhere but when it comes to Keratins formaldehyde gets exposed once heated up with a flat iron to 425 degrees and these other companies told us we had to use 450 degrees(yikes!)
So with this new company (Cezanne) they use 375-400 degrees MAX. I have been very sensitive to its fumes and when we tested the product I had zero reactions either did anyone else in the building. Usually people would get nose and throat burning, bloodshot eyes, lose their voice etc.
Now does this mean their is absolutely zero formaldehyde exposure.....I'm thinking even if their was it would be so minute for no one to have a complaint about this specific Keratin. (I still would not do it on someone pregnant though just to be safe).
We will only carry something we stand by and believe in that follows our ethics.
With that being said.....The results have been amazing and we are now Booking for them!
