It's Maria here wanting to give you all My Personal Best Tips & Tricks when it comes to Washing & Conditioning your hair.
1ST: Salon Professional products are a must! Not only are the quality of the ingredients amazing but the technology behind them is always evolving.
Drugstore brands are inexpensive because the quality of the ingredients are low grade in order to be in that price range.
Our hair means everything to us! right?
As I always say.......protect it's integrity and you will NOTICE a major difference!
2ND: Always do 2 shampoos....why? well, the first shampoo does not cleanse the hair well especially if your roots get oily.
Not only do you have oil build up but dust and dirt from the elements stick on to that oil. Since water & oil are not soluble that is why you just can't seem to get a nice lather. The water and oil molecules are just bouncing off each other. This is why you need a second shampoo to really get a thorough clean.
Focus on scrubbing only at the scalp
Give no friction to those dry ends just glide the shampoo down the hair shaft
Scrubbing & friction to the ends causes split ends which leads to breakage!
3RD: Before using a conditioner or masque towel dry a bit first before applying. Your hair will be even softer and silkier. Think about it this way.....
your hair is like a sponge...when a sponge is wet it can't absorb any more water BUT when it's dry it can take it all in! You WANT your hair to absorb all those amazing ingredients!
Finally: When towel drying...again NO Friction Towel blot OR Wrap your hair up and let the towel do the work.
*FYI buy a plastic cap for the shower because with this tip you'll be able to go an extra day or 2 without having to wash it!
